Coronavirus appointment changes

The current situation – DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY

In line with NHS England guidance to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, St Catherine’s Surgery will be instigating the following guidance from Monday 16th March.

It has been recommended that practices suspend routine appointments for the time being.

How will this affect you?

From Monday 16th March we will only be offering urgent ‘on the day care’, with all patients being triaged over the telephone prior coming in to the surgery.

Patients with existing appointments will be contacted by the surgery by phone or text message and offered a telephone call at the time of their booked appointment instead.

Why we are doing this?

This is a precautionary measure to allow us to ask patients questions prior to visiting the surgery. This will help us to identify any possible cases of Coronavirus and help avoid further spread of the virus.

Our primary concern is to keep patients / staff safe and to ensure that the practice continues to be able to operate effectively.

If you have Coronavirus Symptoms

Patients with a raised temperature above 37.8C or a new persistent cough regardless of travel should contact NHS111 via their website www.111.nhs.uk

Coronavirus information is available from NHS111 online or please follow the government guidelines.

How to contact us

Please contact the surgery on 01242 215005 if you require urgent ‘on the day care’.  We will then arrange a triage call for you from either a Doctor or a Nurse.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
