These are run every Tuesday afternoon at the main surgery.
Asthma clinics are run by our Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacist and Assistant Practitioners with special training in chest problems. We have specialised diagnostic equipment and a range of therapeutic devices so we can accurately diagnose problems and supply medication / devices suited to individual needs.
If you have been advised by the surgery to submit an annual review of your asthma symptoms please complete our form. If your symptoms are deteriorating or you are having any concerns please make an appointment with our Nurse.
Four out of five diabetic patients on St Catherine’s list are now cared for by our surgery diabetic clinic. Patients should make an annual appointment in the month of their birth, and a six-monthly check-up in between.
Heart Health Clinic
Patients known to have ischaemic heart disease (angina and/or previous heart attack) are invited to attend this annual clinic run from St Paul’s. Patients should make their annual appointment in the month of their birth.
Nikki Hennel our midwife, provides Antenatal care, Antenatal parentcraft classes and she visits mothers in their homes after delivery of their babies. She will also come and see you at home during early pregnancy.
We offer a shared care maternity service with our midwife Carolyn Plumb, who can be contacted on 0300 422 2318.
Sexual Health Clinic
Our Sexual Health Clinic is run on Thursdays from 14.00-18:00. It is open to anyone registered with a Gloucestershire GP.
Please contact the surgery on 01242 215005 to book a triage video call which take place on Thursdays 14.00 – 15.30. Once the triage video call has been completed an appointment will then be booked for the following Thursday between the hours of 16.00 – 18.00.

- Contraception (starting and/or changing) including coils and implants
- STI/STD Screening
- C-Card Registered
- Emergency Contraception

St Catherine’s Surgery working alongside the other St Paul’s Surgeries will be providing a direct access Physiotherapy Services.
Patient’s needing urgent treatment will be triaged following an agreed pathway will be booked into an appointment with one of our new Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners Hannah Morley, Kathryn Ker and Emily Beckett.
Hannah and Kathryn will be able to see and treat and refer on to other services if appropriate. Proving a much quicker and more effective treatment pathway for patients

In addition to these services, the Primary Health Care Team undertake many other health related activities and have access to modern diagnostic equipment such as audiometer, ECG, spirometer, 24-hour blood pressure monitor, sonic-aid, etc., please ask any member of the team for help.
