Proposed change to our Practice Computer System.

From August 2018, we will be changing and migrating to a new computer system. 'System One' is widely used in Gloucestershire both in general practice and in community services.

As we prepare for this major change we are unable to sign up patients for electronic access through 'Patient On-line Services'

GDPR Regulations

New Regulations come in to law on 25th May 2018, on how we manage your personal information.

Please see our Patient Privact Notice in the Further infromation link below.  This will help you understand how we manage and store your personal information.

Please ensure that you order your repeat medicines in plenty of time, so that you do not run out.

medication7Repeat Prescriptions can be requested by:

  1. Coming into surgery.

  2. Prescription Ordering Line on 0300 421 1215. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  3. By post enclosing a Stamped Addressed Envelope.

  4. You can arrange for your local chemist to order and collect your repeat prescription, in some case they may also offer a delivery service

If you feel that that have an exceptional reason for ordering your prescription over the phone, please speak or write to Lyn Hough, Reception Team Leader, to see if alternative arrangements can be put in place.

Prescriptions ordered online will only be available for collection from St Catherine's.

NOTE: My Surgery Website Accounts Are Slowly Being Deactivated If You Are Having Trouble Logging In, You Will Need To Register For Patient Services (see point 3 on ordering prescriptions)

Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions that are on your repeat medication slip will be ready for collection 48 hours (2 working days) after they are received, if in doubt please phone the reception to check if your prescription is ready for collection; if you require a medication that is not on your repeat slip then we would advise you to phone the practice after 48 to ascertain whether the doctor has approved it.

EPS - This will mean that we will be sending all repeat prescriptions electronically to patients nominated pharmacy.  The benefit for patients is that they will not have to visit the practice to collect their repeat prescription.  Please inform the pharmacy that you wish to nominate that you would like to sign up for this service. If signed up to Patient Services, you are able to change your pharmacy nomination.

Please note that medicines for the treatment of common symptoms are available without prescription from pharmacies. Those who pay prescription charges may find certain items cheaper on private prescription - please ask prescribing Doctor or Nurse
